Canyons Youth
Our goal is for every student to Get Found by God’s mercy, Get Fit for a righteous walk, and Go Forth to bring radical justice to a world in need.
Welcome to Canyons Youth!
At Canyons Youth, we believe middle and high schoolers aren’t just the future of the church—they are a vital part of the church right now. We have created a space where students (6th–12th grade) can ask real questions, build solid friendships, and discover the unique identity God has placed inside them.
We meet every Sunday at 10:30am during the main service. It’s a time designed to help students move beyond just “surviving” these years to actually thriving in their faith.
We know that as parents, your student’s safety is your top priority—and it’s ours, too. Our leadership team consists of background-checked and trained volunteers who are committed to creating a safe, fun, and encouraging environment for your family.
About Max
A San Diego native, Max brings a unique blend of discipline and deep compassion to our team, serving as both our Youth Pastor and a Chaplain in the U.S. Army Reserve. When he isn’t shepherding students or soldiers, you can find him hiking, cooking up a storm, or playing “Don’t Touch the Light” (flashlight tag) with his wife, Emilia, and their three kids.
His vision is to move students past simple religious attendance into a vibrant, ownership-taking faith. He has built our ministry around three pillars: helping students Get Found by God’s mercy, Get Fit for a righteous walk, and Go Forth to bring radical justice to their schools and neighborhoods.
